Testing your altimeter

You can put the altimeter in a canister and run two plastic tubes to the canister.  This must be clear tube.  One end goes to your mouth (vacuum) and the other goes up a yard stick and down the other side into a pail of water. Calibrate the stick in cm and start sucking water up the tube.  Here is the table for cm of water to feet altitude.  This is accurate and as easy as it gets.  Yes, mixing measurements is a bit strange but this is the US and thats how it is here.
