The only thing you supply is two 9 V batteries, signal wire, and a Windows compatible computer system. Optional signal wire, 100 feet, is available separately.
Because load cells are more accurate over a specific range of force we recommend getting the lowest and highest force load cell anticipated. For example, bench testing the DAQ system with the 20 kG load cell is very easy. Hand pressure on the cell registers easily. If you anticipate having a 400 kG load then you will also want a 500 kG load cell.
Load Cell Highlights:
The package includes a force single point shear beam load cell. Mount one end of the load cell in a fixture of your choice and apply force to the other end. As the load cell bends under force the signal through the bridge changes in a way that can be sensed by electronics.

Suitable for measuring preamplified analog signals, the DI-1100 in tandem with the included WinDaq software allows real time data acquisition, playback, and analysis performance equal to or better than other products that cost many times its low price. The DI-1100 continues this legacy with a higher resolution and faster ADC than its predecessor while retaining its noise-cancelling differential analog inputs that are level-protected to ±100 VDC or peak AC. This is our fastest, most flexible, and value-oriented starter kit ever. The DI-1100 offers four analog input and two discrete (digital) input channels. The analog inputs offer a fixed measurement range of ±10VFS, and are multiplexed to an integrated 12-bit ADC. Digital inputs are protected to ±30 V dc. Sample rates as slow as 20 Hz and as fast as 40 kHz with a single enabled channel are supported. The DAQ01's two digital inputs are dedicated for remote stop/start and remote event operations using WinDaq software. The real time display can operate in a smooth scroll or triggered sweep mode of operation, and can be scaled into any unit of measure. Event markers with comments allow you to annotate your data acquisition session with descriptive information as you're recording to disk. Record waveform data to disk in the background while running any combination of programs in the foreground — even WinDaq Playback software to review and analyze the waveform data as it's being stored!
